One Kubling for Everyone

Starting with version 25.4.3, Kubling will no longer be split into Community Edition and Enterprise Edition.
From now on, there is only one Kubling, complete and available to everyone.

We have always valued the principles of Free Software. At the same time, we knew that building something sustainable without a business model would be difficult.
That is why we initially chose to maintain a Community Edition with limited features, alongside an Enterprise Edition for paying users.

But reality spoke clearly. Even though it is hard to know the exact number of CE instances in use, what we do know is that 100% of active users stayed on the Community Edition. This told us something simple but powerful: users are not willing to pay for an “Enterprise upgrade” and, more importantly, that this model could hold back adoption.

Instead of putting features behind editions, we have decided to go all in.
Kubling is now a single distribution, with everything included. No split between “community” and “enterprise.”

For us, this means more effort, more investment, and more risk.
For you, it means a simpler, more powerful experience: the full Kubling, always.

We will continue working on Kubling with the same passion as always, looking for new ways to finance the project while spreading the vision of data federation as the foundation of modern operations.

Because in the end, our mission has not changed:
to make your operational life easier, even if for us it means taking on the harder path.
